With Francisco Alvarez going down with an injury, that requires surgery, I thought it would be a good idea to learn something new. In this case, some anatomy, as I had no clue where the Hamate bone was upon first hearing about his injury, something the Mets are good at doing.

So there it is near your pinky finger (advanced medical talk) and they say it hurts when injured. Given its his catching hand I would say we need to fix it before the season (versus some advanced pain killers).
Let’s start this season sooner than later as the Mets may run out of players as they’re all hanging out on the DL.
