Brandon Nimmo’s return to full-speed activities may not be ready by the time opening day arrives, making him a candidate to start in the DH position. As previously reported, Brandon suffered a large portion of 2024 battling pain from plantar fasciitis and is now suffering knee pain. Nothing of an injury to report on his right knee, but some wear and tear that may be rearing its head. While he’s at about 80% of his normal activities, the Mets will only look to reintroduce full outfield duties once he gets to the 90%-95% levels.
