Astros’ right fielder Cam Smith opened the scoring in the second inning with a two-run homer off Mets starter Tylor Megill, marking his third home run of the spring. In the fourth inning, Zach Dezenzo extended Houston’s lead with a two-run single, bringing the score to 4-0. Zack Short added a solo home run in the eighth inning, sealing the Astros’ five-run tally.

The Astros’ bullpen maintained the shutout, limiting the Mets to just two hits throughout the game.
